Paolo Caponi is a researcher of English Literature at the University of Milan, where he teaches History of English Theatre and English Culture. He specializes in contemporary and Elizabethan theatre. Among his publications, Adultery in the High Canon. Forms of Infidelity in Joyce, Beckett and Pinter (2002) and Bambole di carne. Lolita prima e dopo il romanzo (2009). He collaborated with the Piccolo Teatro of Milan during the Shakespearean Laboratory directed by Agostino Lombardo e Anna Anzi, as well as with the Teatro Franco Parenti and the Teatro Arsenale. He has been part of the editorial staff of the theatre magazine «TESS» and is part of the scientific committee of the online Comparative Literatures and Cultures magazine «Altre Modernità» of the University of Milan.
